The bigsby is likely original dealer added when new; it is exactly period correct, has slotted headed screws, and matches the patina of the rest of the guitar perfectly. There are two extra holes from the original trapeze setup under the footprint of the bigsby by the strap button. In my opinion, a bigsby is way better than a trapeze
