The brown wooden handle has toned to a nice warm brown color with nice wood graining showing. The handle does show someones initials faintly engraved just above the crossguard; you can read what looks to be VX carved into the handle. The nickel silver eagle and the enameled SA runic button are very good. The eagle has toned to the same color as
