This Mallard pair placed 2nd in the 2012 Louisiana Duck Stamp competition. Guy placed 2nd in Louisiana in both 2012 and 2013. It is a challenge to paint the true iridescent colors you find in the mallard's feathering. To make the ducks really look 3D, Guy chose a neutral gray misty background.
