Ottoman Kilij and Scabbard cherub one oval 43 x 38cmA fine 19th century Ottoman Kilij or Pala sword, with bulbous amber coloured horn grips, a brass cross guard with bud quillions and plain langets, the sharply curved dark high carbon watered Damascus blade with a slight yelman, decorated with, faint floral gilt etching to the ricasso and forte, held in leather wrapped wood scabbard of used condition, with tombac sheaths stamped with a Tughra.
