Its bottom is constructed using the tradition method of coiling except the coils are in alternating colors as seen in the photo with the orchids. A wide swarth of stoneware is wrapped around the bowl's rim and pinched together as seen in the photo where the bowl is being held. The "wrap" is dusted with finely crushed clay created a light and dark pattern around the top of
