Felt is the pad of choice for buffing, working a smooth, high gloss finish onto hardwood, tile, and other hard floor surfaces. The dense fibers polish the surface without cutting into it. Over time a felt pad compresses, loads with residue, or wears down, and once it does it no longer brings up a clean shine.
