The Mount Edelstone vineyard was established in 1912 by Ronald Angas, a descendant of George Fife Angas, who founded The South Australian Company and played a key role in South Australia's development. Unusually for its time, the vineyard was exclusively planted with Shiraz. The vineyard's ancient 500 million year
