Heres a static sample with orbit in 3D, this time from a Lightwave particle simulation, and saved the particle animation as freezed points at desired frames, then imported back and shaded with hypervoxels sprites, this was only around 400 000 particles, for this to look really good, you would probably need 6-12 millions of particles, its doable now with memory handling I think in Lightwave, but takes too long time too settle/cook
