Untitled Edition:7-27 rhythmic line punctures the groundRayed Mohamed (b. 1986, Yemen) is a self taught artist whose intricate, densely patterned works emerge from a continuous practice of repetitive mark making. Mohamed came to the United States as a child and works on his practice daily from his Brooklyn studio. He works primarily with acrylic paint pens and Sharpies, bringing his whole body into the process, which is intensely physical and immersive. He selects colors by bringing each pen close to his
