Indeed, akvavit is said to have been created in the northern Danish city of Aalborg by Isidor Henius in 1846. This bottling has been flavoured with a mixture of dill, coriander, star anise, and citrus. The final result is a profoundly citrussy akvavit, with verdant notes of lime, faint anise, caraway, dill and general soft warming
