Made from chunky pine, it originates from the northwestern Chinese province of Xinjiang. The ornate, geometric carvings on the doors, surrounding frames and bottom apron are typical of the daybeds produced in the region, heavily influenced by the styles of neighbouring central Asian countries. This unit has been produced
