this needs to add depth over time as it’s somewhat one-dimensional today

This is the first year in which most of the Baroli were aged partly in cask and partly in barrel

slightly grainy in texture with brown spices sprinkled over the structured finish that feels a little bitter and rustic

Tollot Beaut, Beaune Clos Roi Rouge Vintage:2015 This is not overly concentratedA markedly ripe yet still fresh nose combines aromas of black raspberry, cherry, violet and a trace of anise. Consistent with the prior wines the medium weight flavors possess a wonderfully seductive mouth feel; indeed the word caressing is apt, all wrapped in lilting, dusty and moderately firm finale. Good stuff here and fashioned in a more forward and accessible style. 91 2022+
