Ridges in the Mountains Size:24"x36" On a windy spring day

On a windy spring day I was able to head up to the clock tower of East High School

On this trip I had a film camera with me allowing the grain to show in the image which was taken on the trip

I then used an aperture which would give me a star effect from the sun which also comes through the metal of the sculpture

Instead of zooming in on the island I decided to include a little of the shoreline in this image to help provide perspective of the area and the size of the island

Ridges in the Mountains Size:24"x36" On a windy spring dayHeading south on the Alaska Railroad from Fairbanks to Anchorage is quite an experience. In early March one year I took this trip and was fortunate to have nice conditions, and yes cold, as the train made the twelve hour journey. As we passed through the Alaska Range the low clouds provided scenic views along with temperatures near zero as I watched from an open window in the train.
