波の動きを細やかに表現したような柄の大島紬。

水流の間に表現される花は牡丹、桔梗、菊、梅などで、それぞれ「富貴」、「勝利」、「高貴」、「生命力」の意味をもつ縁起の良い文様です。

四崩しは、和算や易占に用いる「算木」を紋様化したもので、こちらも吉祥紋様のひとつ。
