Sold(1920) Monsieur Blanc £125 24 ins Date 1950 Make Thuringia ButtonHere is Monsieur Blanc. He is a tall boy of 24 ins, (60 cm), wood wool stuffed, big transparent glass eyes with black pupils. He dates from the end of 1920. He has got long legs and tiny ankles which is typical of this period. Also typical is how he is made particularly the front final seam. Pintel used to stuff their bear from the front. However, it caused problems doing it this way because the sewing had to be perfect and was taking more time to do.
