On this morning with the difference in temperature between the water and the air steam formed right at sunrise but soon burned off as the sun climbed in the sky

One evening I was thinking of a location for a photograph and this location came to mind

UK it was the detail which drew my eye as it was so detailed and telling of the story

To photograph this contrast I got a little lower and also found a line in the hardpan to bring your eye into the scene and towards the sunlight

Shades of Wood Building On this morning with theWhile walking around Valles Caldera National Preserve I spent some time around some of the old homesteads in the area. I focused on the details of the area and this homestead had wood around the front porch. In this image the middle piece of wood is where there is a ninety degree angle. Thus the wood on the right in the frame is facing north, while the wood on the left is facing east. This small difference in direction has lead to the colors to show
