I use the thickest gauge my 1700 1800s tools can handle, which is 20oz copper sheet, with a 3 16" copper wire along the top for sturdiness and zero rusting. There's a single lap seam soldered with food grade tin solder. Sizes are: 3" diameter, 2. 9oz 4" diameter, 3. 8oz Please note, I make these to order. I try to keep some on hand, but give me up to five weeks to build
