"Solace” - Original Seascape Painting Original and the kindestSolace is a painting I became so absorbed in during the making of it there's something about still, sunlit water that can be so mesmerising. I painted it in oils on canvas, working with the subtle interplay of light and dark blues as sunlight glints across the surface of the calm sea. The water isn't dramatic here. It's the opposite of that tranquil, reflective, soothing. Up close, you can see every little ripple catching the light. It's a quietly
