Mem (28)4 MEMOIRS a small neotropical genus ofDeclieuxia, a genus of Rubiaceae tribe Psychotrieae, contains shrubs, subshrubs, and perennial herbs, and is found in neotropical savanna vegetation from Santa Catarina, Brazil, to Chiapas, Mexico, and Pinar del Rio, Cuba. It is distinguished from all close relatives by drupaceous laterally compressed schizocarps. Included in this treatment of Declieuxia are keys, descriptions, and distributions maps.
