The current generation (Didier & Sylvain Defaix) works organically with a lenaing toward biodynamics. Grown on one of the steepest, sun drenched south east facing slopes above Milly in the right bank of the Serein River, the wine is rooted in Kimmeridgian limestone rich with fossilised seashells resulting in a stricking minerality and crystalline clarity.
