the colors were vivid still from the last fall color in the city

This was exactly the case as the sun lit up the clouds for a couple of minutes during the first sunrise for the year over the skyline of Denver

During one of my trips to Imperial Valley to photograph

In November 2009 while walking around photographing during a weekend snow I stopped at the piece and wanted to capture an image which would show the piece but also a sense of where it is located

Coors Field and the Denver Skyline Size:8"x10" the colors were vivid stillAt the end of the 2010 season I headed towards Coors Field to photograph around the stadium with the skyline in the background. With the stadium in lower downtown there are plenty of great views of it with the skyline of Denver and from inside you have a great vantage of the Rocky Mountains. Just under six months until the new season.
