A completely backward but superbly complex nose displays layered aromas that run to game and underbrush as well as ripe red and dark berry fruit trimmed in a bit of wood toast that give way to rich

This is really quite pretty and a wine that should amply reward mid-term cellaring

This is starting to lose its freshness so that there is some slightly sugary fruit and a little astringency but it is (just) hanging on in there

It's 1. 3 hectares in the village of Gratallops, mostly Garnacha with 2% Cariena on a steep slope. Like the rest of the range, it fermented with some full clusters and indigenous yeasts in oak vats and had 30 days of maceration. It completed 13 months in oval oak foudres and was in concrete waiting to be bottled
