Graciano was widely planted across Spain especially Rioja before phylloxera wiped it out, and today a small but committed group of growers is bringing it back for its fresh, complex character. Zorzal's version comes from 35 year old bush vines, organically farmed in stony clay and limestone soils at high altitude in Navarra. Hand harvested, wild yeast fermented, lightly extracted, and aged nine months in old oak.
